Sure, it may be sponsored by AbbVie, the pharmaceutical company behind the cosmetic treatment, but it’s still a real thing that’s been recognized by the National Day Archives for five years now. In acknowledgment of the occasion, we at BetKentucky.com, your home for Kentucky sports betting, decided to find out how interested in plastic surgery the Bluegrass state is compared to the rest of America.
To do so, we checked out the average online interest in various cosmetic procedures across the U.S, using Google Trends to see how often people in each state searched for terms like "botox," "rhinoplasty," "liposuction," "lip fillers," "abdominoplasty," and "breast augmentation" between November 8th, 2022 and November 8th, 2023. We then ranked the popularity of these searches for each state.

According to our research, Kentucky rates out near the middle of the pack in terms of its plastic surgery search history. Of the 51 states we considered, Kentucky lands at 24th — sandwiched between Illinois (23) and Oregon (25). Meanwhile, Florida is the most plastic surgery-obsessed state, with California at number two, and Utah, Nevada, and Arizona rounding out the top five. Vermont on the other, had the lowest search volume interest in the plastic surgery procedures we analyzed.
Of the cosmetic treatments noted above, Botox generated the most searches on Google. While primarily designed to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, Botox is also used to treat muscle spasms due to its ability to block muscular nerve signals. Abdominoplasty, which is often called a “tummy tuck” is the next most popular plastic surgery in Kentucky according to our research, followed by breast augmentation, rhinoplasty, and lip fillers.
