Mulberry Orchard takes the cake — or should we say takes the pumpkin pie  — as the No. 1 pumpkin patch in Kentucky. Beyond its Pick Your Own pumpkins, the Shelbyville-based farm boasts an impressive list of amusement, including a petting zoo, corn maze, and wagon rides.

Just Piddlin’ Farm in Woodburn and Evan’s Orchard in Georgetown are tied for the second-best pumpkin patches in Kentucky. Like Mulberry Orchard, both locations feature an on-site corn maze.

Lexington residents in particular may be drawn to Evan’s Orchard, as it's only about a 30-minute drive from the city. Meanwhile, the spot on our list closest to Louisville is Shady Lane Farms, also about a 30-minute drive away. Shady Lane Farms ranked No. 4 on our list of Kentucky’s best pumpkin patches.

Not only are all of the patches on our list great options for picking up a pumpkin to carve — they’re a sure bet to offer plenty of “agritainment” for the whole family.
