Kentucky Adds New Gaming Venue as Marshall Yards Opens in Calvert City

A new gaming and entertainment venue is coming to western Kentucky. Marshall Yards Racing & Gaming will officially open on February 25, 2026, adding another in-person option to the Kentucky sports betting market while bringing on-site wagering, simulcast betting, and more than 225 historical racing machines to Calvert City.

The $40 million project, developed by Churchill Downs Incorporated, marks the company’s eighth state-of-the-art gaming and entertainment venue in Kentucky.

Inside the New Marshall Yards Gaming Facility

Marshall Yards Racing & Gaming will feature over 225 historical racing machines, retail sports wagering, and simulcast horse racing, along with food and beverage offerings, including Wet Your Whistle and a Sports Bar. 

Located at 65 Campbell Drive near the I-24 and I-69 interchange, the venue will serve as an annex of Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel.

Grand Opening Set for February 25

The public grand opening is scheduled for February 25, 2026. Dave McDade, Assistant General Manager of Marshall Yards Racing & Gaming said the ribbon-cutting ceremony will include entertainment and plenty of giveaways.
